Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit
There...it's the 1st of the month and I said it (right Den?!)
This morning on Blue's Clues (which was being played from 5:30 until 6:00 so mommy and daddy could get a few more minutes of sleep), Blue wanted to weigh herself...so the older boys wanted to weigh themselves too. Here are the numbers:
Brady (almost 8 months) = 21.6 pounds
Aiden (2 years) = 26.8 pounds
Logan (3 years, 5ish months) = 37.0
I was surprised to see that Logan and Aiden are a full 10 pounds different and even more surprised (well...not really) to see that Brady is only like 5 pounds lighter than Aiden. I think it was fortuitous that we nicknamed him "itty-bitty" when he was born (Aiden that is).
On another note, after over a week of trying to keep Aiden in his crib, I finally broke down and bought a crib tent yesterday. At first, I felt like I was putting him in a cage, but I stuck my head inside and it's actually really cool....very much like camping plus he has all his toys and stuff in there so it's totally his own little world! I wouldn't mind sleeping in something like that and he FINALLY had a good night's sleep. Previously, I would put him in his bed and he would immediately climb out and run around his room laughing and saying "I funny mommy". Following Super Nanny's advice, I kept going in his room over and over again to pick him up and plop him right back into bed. Yesterday during naps, it took 18 trips before he finally stayed in bed. The other day, after 12 trips in during nap time, I gave up and let him come out of his room. He looked up at me when I walked with him into the hallway and downstairs saying "tank ew mommy....you my bes fren" (yesterday, during our marathon session, he asked me as I put him back into bed "mommy...why you mean?")
During the composition of this post, the boys have been "hiding" in the playroom and then whispering to each other, laughing and coming out yelling "boo!" to me. I pretend to be ever so frightened and they laugh, run away and do it again. My presence has now been requested for a game of hide and seek.
About Me
- Renay
- Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
