First Haircut and Why Grandma Larmon ROCKS!

Last weekend's trip to "Kidz Kuts" was a first for several reasons: For one, it was Brady's first haircut. 2: it was the first time I took all boys in for haircuts at the same time (the owner's husband was laughing because I always book in advance and they give me double stamps on my little frequent customer card...you know, once you fill it up, you get a free cut. I can fill up 1/2 a card per visit now!!) And finally 3: Brian came with us for the first time since we took Aiden in for his first cut! Here are the pictures:

It took a lot of convincing to get Aiden into a "chair". He's usually pacified by a lollipop while he gets his cut, but he refused to cooperate for some reason. We finally got him settled into the blue race car using a video of Little Einsteins (justification for why I go to this kid's hair place!)

Logan was and always has been a dream during hair cuts. He gets his hair cut and then dutifully goes off to grab his lollipop and "prize" from the baskets by the check out.
Daddy poses with Bray pre hair cut
Bray was completely unfazed by the whole process. He loved the airplane chair and hardly seemed to notice the woman with scissors who repeatedly invaded his personal space (plus there was a bubble machine to look at - cooool!)
Almost done! What a good boy!!

A few weeks ago, my friend from our old Wednesday playgroup emailed us all to ask our kids' favorite colors. She said her mom was making something for her boys and that she wanted to make them for the rest of the group as well. We all met at Laura's today to get the surprises.....

Before Lisa, her kids and her mom arrived, the others played like they normally would. Here, several of the kids (Aiden included) amuse themselves with some sort of game inside the dog kennel in Laura's kitchen. Crazy children!
And then....Grammy Larmon arrived with treats. Here, Logan models his SUPER CAPE! How COOL are these??? If it's hard to read, it says "Super Logan". The letters are orange and NOT packer yellow by the way!
All the kids gathered in their capes for a picture. Aiden was cranky and didn't want his cape on right away so he didn't make this shot. I was confused by his behavior and totally thought he would be into this! Just this morning, I asked him to let us into Brady's room after he locked the door. Logan and I were in the hall trying to get in and I yelled "Aiden....can you open the door please?" He yelled "yep! Aiden to the rescue!!" and then I heard him jump out of Brady's crib...see previous post on how he likes to climb in there to play with Bray.
Finally, Aiden realized what was going on and asked me to put on his cape too
Seriously!? What kid WOULDN'T want a super cape like this? Grandma Larmon ROCKS!

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
