Bubbles and Warm Children

It was so nice yesterday that we put off running all errands (until nap time) and played in the back yard all morning. Brian and I were sitting on top of the large deck box, sipping coffee and watching our three munchkins running around playing with bubbles (we were also taking turns chasing Brady and bringing him back from the neighbor's yard). I organized the outdoor toy box and we plotted all the fun things we're going to do this summer.

Today, it was a bit chilly in the morning, but I let the boys play outside until we went to neighborhood playgroup. It really warmed up around 11:30 so we ate lunch on the patio and played some more before nap time (which Logan is NOT doing anymore!!). When I took Brady up to his room for his nap, I changed his diaper and kissed his warm tummy. It made me remember one of my most favorite smells in the whole world...the way my kids smell after they have been playing outside and in the sun.

I bought this bubble blower about 4 weeks ago because I KNEW the boys would love it. It has already provided hours of entertainment. It blows GIANT bubbles with smaller bubbles inside!! It's way cool and the boys love to chase the bubbles and pop them. Combined with squirt guns to "shoot" the bubbles down...it's almost as good as the water table in the summer!
I just have to make sure they stop shooting directly into the machine because it got watered down there for a while and stopped blowing the bubbles as well.
I didn't take any pictures, but Logan was practicing on his new scooter today. It's a 2-wheeled razor and quite advanced for a 4-year old...in my opinion anyway...but what do I know....he's only been at it for a couple of days and he's really quite good at it! I'm making him wear knee and elbow guards along with a helmet until he gets MUCH better though! :)

Will got a Razor for Christmas and will only do it in the house. He's not ready for it yet. And..I just drove him nuts before naptime sniffing all the fresh air out of his head! LOVE that smell!

The bubble machine sounds awesome! It looks like they had a great time. When I first read the title of this post I thought for sure that it said Bubbles and Warm Chicken....and I couldn't figure out the chicken part...I think my brain is starting to turn to mush! :-)

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
