The Case of the Mysterious Dish Washing

Last night Brady woke up around 11:15 so I went in his room to settle him down. We had just climbed into bed less than an hour earlier and it’s par for the course around here to rise at least 3 times during the night…no big deal. On my way back to bed, I heard the dishwasher running downstairs. This struck me as odd since I didn’t start it..or at least I didn’t think that I had. I poked Brian and asked him if he started it. Shaking himself from a sleepy fog, he said, “hu? uh…no”. So one of several things must have happened:

1. Little fingers may have pressed just the right set of buttons to cause a delayed-start on the dish washer

2. Brian or I absentmindedly started it up before heading off to bed.

3. There is a ghost in our house who is fond of cleaning.

I for one am really hoping it’s number 3 and plan to leave out the Windex and multi-purpose cleaners tonight…

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
