Tiny Tree Yields Fall Fun

After living in a newly-built house for 6 years, I am happy to report that we finally have a tree tall enough to produce a small pile of fall leaves for the boys to play in. Aiden discovered this as we were outside one morning last week…taking in the trash cans I believe. He looked on the ground and exclaimed, “oh I’m so glad it’s fall…I forgot that we get to jump in leaves!” Unfortunately, our “big” tree is close to the road so we had to scoop the leaves up and relocate them to a safer spot on our front lawn. I actually needed to mow so I put Aiden and Brady in charge of corralling the leaves by the sidewalk while I whipped out the law mower and did a (hopefully last of the season) quick mow. After we played in the leaves, we were inspired to get our fun orange-lighted Halloween decorations up. More pictures of those to follow. I do so love Fall…and now it’s even better since we have our own tiny pile of leaves!

Funny! We notice this too - love to have the shade from bigger trees, but now we actually have this fall task of leaf clean-up. I even have my very own leaf blower! Great pics!

How I love Fall. It's awesome that your tree is now creating a pile of leaves! Just think, in future years you will have a HUGE pile! Karen's leaf blower makes great sense. I remember all the raking every weekend in the Fall in Phillie.

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
