The Day’s Creation – Part II

Logan has been taking golf lessons (1 class so far) and he’s really pumped about them…at least for now. So much so that he wanted to practice in the basement. We shot over to Dick’s Sporting Goods after school today to see if we could find some “basement approved” practice balls. I thought it would also be useful to have one of the mats they use in class (or at least something to use as a tee), but the mats were sadly $25 and I’m not ready to spend that knowing Logan’s class history. While at Dick’s, I remembered a carpet remnant we have in the basement and thought maybe I could get a small piece of pvc pipe and put it through the carpet to make a nice little tee. Right after that thought, I turned around and found a set of three plastic driving range tees for $4…now that’s what I’m talking about!

Here is this day’s creation:

I used a sharp pair of scissors to poke a hole in the back of the carpet and stuck the tee through. IMG_2777

Logan taking swings in the basement: He recently got the little green pail from Ella’s birthday party and it makes the most perfect ball container! As you can see, this is his back swing. I would like to say it was a practice swing…you know, before he stepped up to the tee…but he has only taken 1 lesson so…IMG_2782

What a great creation! Glad he got in a few rounds of golf yesterday! I think his form is coming right long - after 1 lesson!

Fast forward 20 years and put a golf shirt on him and he's a regular golfin' business man! That is cute!

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
