A Late Night Email to Daddy

Subject: Be still my beating heart...

message:
I was just creeping around the house with my pointiest high-heeled shoe held high above my head after hearing a strange noise. It turns out Logan had fallen out of bed. The strange thing was that he didn't cry or come out right away. I stalked the garage, the front rooms and the basement before I heard him mumbling. He was sitting in the doorway of his room, sleepy-eyed, saying, "I fell out of my covers...I'm ready to go to bed now...are you ready to go to bed (ie: can I come with you to your bed)?" I was happy there wasn't an intruder...and that I didn't have to hurt any of my shoes.

By the way, he told me tonight that he's afraid of thunder because he thinks lighting is going to strike our house. I told him that only tall buildings with metal spikes on them get hit. Hey...it works for now I guess, but I think he's worried about the Sears Tower (and no...I will not call it the Willis tower...stupid new name!)

SO FUNNY! Will fell out of bed last night! Was there an earthquake? And I think you should make it a point to get a weapon that doesn't sacrifice your wardrobe! :)

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
