#54degreesisshortsweather
This winter has been BRUTAL! Polar Vortex…snow, snow and more snow, freezing weather even on the warm days and up to –40 degrees with the wind chills. I’ve never before heard of school being cancelled for cold (as opposed to snow), but we had several days off this year because it was too dangerous for the kids waiting at bus stops. This past weekend was pretty nice, but yesterday, my phone said it was 54 degrees after school. Logan ran into the house, threw down his things and immediately changed into shorts. All the kids in the neighborhood came out of hibernation and played outside. When I snapped a few pics with my camera phone. Logan told me to put it on Twitter and say “"#54degressisshortsweather” also apparently, short-sleeves-and-no-coat weather.
After bike & scooter riding, Logan ran off with his friend Sam to the park for over and hour and a 1/2 while Brady and Aiden “shoveled” the back yard and played some soccer.
Of course more snow is on the way along with yet another winter weather advisory tonight, but at least we had yesterday!
About Me
- Renay
- Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
