Leprechaun Shenanigans

Before bed last night, Logan told his brothers, “oh hey – the leprechauns come tonight!” I have to admit that I kind of forgot about those little buggers. Looks like they managed a visit though. This morning we found a note, the milk was green (again), the toilet water…also green (again), the living room was a mess and there were a bunch of shamrocks hidden all over the house leading the boys to their own little pots of gold (kind of gold…apparently the Easter rolos are out now so the leprechauns didn’t find “gold” ones like they usually do). I forgot that last year, the same three little guys visited us. They claim they are brothers and are strangely the same ages as our boys. Their names are Shamus, Rian and Connor. Last year, the boys left a trap and tried to catch them, but I guess Rian and Connor have giant scissors and cut Shamus out. Aiden remembered the whole thing…

This was the note. The boys “knew” it couldn’t be from me because I apparently do not draw lines like that on my shamrocks. I personally don’t think their artistic skills are that great. Aiden and I decided it looked more like a tree.

They picked some tricky hiding spots! This one was hung inside the towel in the powder room. _DSC0750

The basement! The boys also determined that all of this could not possibly be the work of their mother because I would never let them have candy before school._DSC0757

I did, however, purchase surgery cereal for them…which they ate with green milk. One year they refused to drink the milk. Last night, Logan said, “remember guys, if they dye the milk, it doesn’t taste any different!” Guess we’re growing up ;)

I didn’t take a picture of the living room in it’s full messy glory. They had taken all the pillows off the couch and put blankets everywhere as well. I tell you, these guys are good. They always find my St. Patrick’s day decorations stash…and, as Aiden pointed out, the Easter stuff too because they took the “grass” from their baskets! IF this had been something done by mom and dad, I would IMAGINE that Brian would say something along the lines of, “I can’t believe you’re letting me do this” while he pulled cushions off the couch and threw pillows around. In my IMAGINATION, he would have thought that was pretty hilarious._DSC0763

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
