Goodbye Southbury

I just sent the boys off to school for the last day. Also, our very last day at Southbury Elementary. I really didn’t think it would be as emotional for me as it’s turning out to be. One of the things Brian and I are both going to miss is that they can all walk to school…and that I feel so safe knowing that they have all these friends they walk with. Even though I can’t see them all the way to the front door, I know that they’ll walk through Jen’s yard…probably with her kids…maybe Madi will be cutting through there as well. Once they reach the sidewalk, Mrs. Cirino will see them and cross them through all the cars. If they walk the long way, they might see Connor & Ashley, Sarah & Kate, maybe David…and then Mrs. Schultz will cross them through the parking lot. We all used to meet and walk the kids together, but they’ve all reached an age where they can get to and from school without their moms. I can’t believe I just watched them walk down that sidewalk for the last time.

Here we come Geneva. Here we come 4th, 2nd and 1st grade! Oh…and summer too…here we come summer!

First day of school. How cute…that’s back when at least Aiden and Brady would wear “normal” shorts and not just athletic ones. Now they complain if I pull those out!1097882_10201935064283824_1246913632_o

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
