A Post Mostly About Brady
We had a few nice days last week with the promise of colder weather to come. I took the opportunity to do some yard work and move the patio stuff into the garage for the winter. Brady got one more ride in his swing for the year. In the background is the "Logan" tree (and autumn-blaze maple) that we planted the first year we moved in. We're supposed to get a couple more for the other boys!!
Logan asks a lot about the cloths that Brady wears (he knows that a lot of them used to be his). He asked about this sweater one day and, oddly enough, I had a picture of Logan on the fridge in the exact same shirt. In the picture, Logan is around about 9 months old.
While I had my camera out, I decided to take Brady's 11 month picture. He didn't feel like cooperating....
...but Aiden jumped in and said "I help Brady mommy!" "We do teamwork"
A word about Brady and his bottle habits. For his size, you would think that my chunk of a child can put down a bottle like no body's business. That couldn't be further from the truth. He hardly ever finishes a full one and leaves his little "wounded soldiers" on the floor where I put him to eat. He is easily distracted and crawls away to do other things. Also, I'm not sure how....but he OFTEN manages to do this (see below) to the bottle nipples. It's actually pushed inside the cap. ?!
I don't think he even managed to drink an ounce of this one before he went in search of action.
He found his daddy in the kitchen making homemade corn chowder and gourmet grilled cheese for dinner. (Logan had tried a cream soup at lunch the other day and loved it so Brian wanted to make him something special.) I had to giggle because Brady looks SO tiny "standing" next to daddy!
After dinner, daddy built a fire and we tried to watch a movie. We have started making Fridays "movie night", but Logan announced that we should have a "pajama party" tonight (we even ate dinner in pjs) and then watch a movie. Bray went to bed, but Logan and Aiden could hardly stay still per usual so we had 1/2 a movie night. :) Here, daddy and Bray do a little cuddling by the fire....our first of the season. Side note: I had to make my pumpkin cookies tonight as well. It just seemed to be the right time of the year!
Before we watched the movie, we looked at some family pictures on the TV (fed in through our office computer....all created by daddy magic). All the pictures were mixed in together so it was a trip trying to correctly identify who was who for the tiny baby pictures!
Me and my boys. Never mind the shades in the background. I was trying to decide between the ones in the middle to replace the ones on the left and right that blend into the wall. (I like the brown ones!)
I had to include this picture. This is a drawing that Aiden did at the gym last week. I was really impressed because he did it all by himself. He told the girls in the playroom that it was "basketball man" and he told me it was "happy basketball" so we call it "happy basketball man". He'll draw them on command now. I think the big one in the middle has little basketballs floating all around him.

About Me
- Renay
- Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.

I just can't believe Brady's almost a year old!! Where did 2008 go??? So - is he walking? How did he get in a standing position next to Daddy! Of course I remember that picture of Logan. That is just too cute that you now have your two boys in the same sweater. Poor little Aiden doesn't get to share the clothes - little peanut born in the wrong season - right? LOVE the first fire of the season and that Friday is movie night! You guys are just the cutest little family!! And pumpkin cookies - well of course it's that time of year!!
And - Basketball man is totally cool!
Yup! I like the brown shades too! And there is NOTHING better than pajama/movie/fire nights! Even better if you get the tub popcorn at Blockbuster! Very cute kiddos you have!
OH MY GOSH! I apparently have been busy (taking care of ONE SMALL CHILD...insert rolling eyes here) and I hadn't read about the 554 for quite awhile! I got to read a BUNCH of posts which was such a treat!! OMG I love my boys and I love your posts! You are too funny!! Nice work on the link to you tube too...super impressed!!!
