A Few Happy Announcements
Coming off of a day when no one had more than 2 (of 5) stars left by day's end (even after giving them multiple opportunities to earn some back...which they did....and then lost them again), I am choosing to focus on a few choice positive things:
1. Everyone was in bed and asleep by 8 tonight - joy to the world
2. After crying until from 7:30 until at least 8:45 or 9:30 three times this week, I finally tested a theory on Brady...I left his bathroom light on and the door slightly open. All quiet from the nursery...I think Bray is afraid of the dark!! (ah-hem...no idea where he got that from...as I have to sleep with the hall light on when Brian travels!)
3. Tonight, we had Anna and her kids over for dinner (traveling husbands!) While I was shutting down the basement due to WAY too much chaos and crying, Aiden ran up to Anna and said "I have to go pee pee in the potty!" This was his FIRST time seeking out the potty for pee AND....he was wearing a diaper at the time! I've been having him run around naked a little while each day, but once our friends came over, I put his cloths back on. I came up from the basement and heard her saying "yeah Aiden!! Way to go buddy!!" Me = so proud!!
4. It's been raining buckets today...with thunder storms to boot. Last year, this kind of weather would have Logan scared stiff...refusing to even be alone in his room, let alone sleep in it! Today and tonight, I have not heard even one mention of the dreaded "funder". Me = so happy (plus really....how can you be afraid of something that you think starts with the word "fun"? It's a mystery to me!)
now....where oh where did I put that bottle of wine!?

About Me
- Renay
- Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.

So funny! (hoping you found that bottle of wine). Do you think it's coincidental that they call it "wine" (that which we need after hearing our kids whine all day?) I think not.
Wow! I'm so impressed with Aiden's quick progress on the potty training front! That is just great! Poor little Bray - afraid of the dark. Can't we all relate to that??
I too hope you found the wine and took full advantage of its medicinal qualities!
