An Actual Night Out with the Adults!

Last Saturday we ventured downtown to hang out with some of our friends from "back in the day" (aka: when we were younger, child-less and living in downtown Chicago). We went to a fantastic restaurant (although I really wish Brian had asked about the dress code in advance. Nice jeans are acceptable anywhere these days though so...it was all good). We spent over 3 hours eating, drinking wine and talking before heading across the street to a cool Irish bar. We ordered a drink, I looked at my watch and noticed the time...11:30. It was almost like "code 23" <--- see future post. I said "Brian it's 11:30" and we basically RAN out to get home and relieve his parents. Being more than an hour away, we felt guilty and knew that the ball was over (thankfully the Pilot did NOT turn into a pumpkin on the way home). Hot topic of the evening: facebook and how all the wives (plus Brian) are on it and how all the men (plus Lorna) are not. hysterical.

And yes, I was the dork with the camera despite the fact that my kids were not around. After I add my pictures, I think I'll go post them on facebook. HAHAHAHA (no...seriously...I'm going to!)

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
