It's Magic!!!

Couple things: Brady has 2 new teeth today! I found them during "the bye-bye song" at "Come Play with Me" Class this morning. He was laying backwards on my lap which gave me a rare opportunity to feel around in his mouth. They are his upper 1-year molars (no incisors up there yet!)
Next order of business....today I did a magic trick!!! Watch carefully every one....you will all be surprised and amazed!
What you do is this: put baby in crib, put 2-year old in crib (remember now folks....the 2-year old sleeps in a crib with a zip-up tent over it. This tent has been compromised recently though....there are a couple holes in the top and one whole side is sagging down because said 2-year old pulled one of two tent "poles" out and broke it into three different pieces). Lock 2-year old's door from the outside based on a gut feeling that he's not going to take a nap and might escape from his crib. Put 3-year old into his room for "quiet time". Lock door for safety and sanity. Wait 30 minutes. Check on 3-year old....discover NOT one but TWO little little boys in the room. TA DA!
Examine 2-year old's room to see what happened. And here is the secret behind the magic: Aiden had pulled the remaining tent pole into his crib (without breaking it...hard to explain, but now it's like inverted...like a smiley face inside the crib instead of a frown shape over it). He then climbed out of one of the holes in the netting (he's pretty skinny!), climbed out of the crib, dumped a basket of diapers on the ground, tested his bedroom door and then tested the door to the jack and jill bathroom. He went through that bathroom and entered Logan's room on the other side (strangely though, he or Logan must have re-locked the bathroom door because I couldn't open it from inside Logan's room). They must have played in there for about 20 minutes and were SOOOO super impressed and proud of themselves! They posed for a picture which I took on my phone to mail to daddy. I also took a picture of Aiden's crib with my phone. After I discovered them, they promptly demanded chocolate milk and a snack!

So happy together and not taking naps! Aiden said after this picture "mommy...I sorry I jump out my crib!" Sorry enough not to do it again? I don't think so!!

This is what the crib tent is supposed to look like. There are two poles that stretch and bend over the top to keep it up.

This is Aiden's crib tent. One pole is gone and the other one is inverted INTO the crib now. Too funny. I wonder if he'll EVER get a big boy bed! hahaha.

A is such a monkey! I have to say I think he takes after his Auntie Denna...who loved to climb on stuff too. So, when should I come pick up my child?

I say you push the idea of a BED FORT when he moves into a big boy bed. Like, Brian could construct it out of wood and, again, the lock would be on the OUTside. What do you think?

Those two are hilarious! I know you weren't laughing as you realized there would be no down time for Mom!! Not sure about that A and what the heck you are going to do when he moves into a big boy bed!

About Me

My photo
Stories about BRLAB: Brian & Renay, two relatively sane parents, and our three adorable, but active boys: Logan - 9, Aiden - 7 and Brady - 6. I started this blog to document our adventures and milestones for those family members who are far away and can't always share the fun in person. This blog has become my way to keep track of everything in the lives of my growing boys - from the super big stuff that seems the most important to the small things that probably really ARE the most important. I always include tons of pictures because I plan to make a book out of the blog on a yearly basis. Time flies by so fast, I can only hope that these posts will help us remember all the wonderful and silly times we have together as a family.
